Founder, Artist & Natural Permanent Makeup Specialist
Suki Yu is known for her soft, natural approach to cosmetic tattooing and her ability to see beyond one individual feature to consider the face as a whole. With a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, majoring in Painting, she brings a trained understanding of color, proportion, balance, and composition to every procedure.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Suki blends her artistic background with modern cosmetic tattoo techniques and advanced permanent makeup education from both the United States and Asia. She is a licensed permanent makeup artist with five certifications in the United States, as well as advanced licensing and certification from Hong Kong—recognized in China and Korea—with specialized training in Korean beauty permanent makeup.

While cosmetic tattooing has often been associated with harsh, overly defined results, Suki became passionate about creating softness, subtle definition, and natural enhancements designed to age gracefully. Rather than applying the same shape or technique to every client, she treats each face as completely unique. Every design is thoughtfully customized to the client’s features, coloring, natural asymmetry, skin type, lifestyle, and personal definition of “natural.”
Her goal is not to change the way her clients look, but to create refined, flattering enhancements that help them feel like the best version of themselves.

Suki Studio is a private one-on-one permanent makeup studio in Astoria, New York City, specializing in Powder Brows, Lip Blush, and Lash Line Enhancement.
As a working mother, wife, artist, and studio owner, Suki understands the value of feeling polished without adding another complicated step to the day.
She created Suki Studio as a calm, unhurried space where every client receives her complete attention. Each appointment is a collaborative experience, allowing time to discuss the client’s preferences, carefully develop the design, and ensure they feel comfortable and confident before the procedure begins.
For Suki, permanent makeup is about more than looking polished with less effort. It is about helping clients feel confident while swimming, working out, traveling, going on a date, or simply moving through everyday life without worrying whether their makeup is still there. Her goal is to create natural enhancements that help every client feel like the best version of themselves—and make life just a little bit easier.
